Kitchen Suppression System Inspection & Service

We inspect and service the fire suppression systems over commercial cooking equipment (nozzles, piping, agent cylinders, detection and activation) so a grease fire is put out where it starts.

Specializing in commercial and restaurant kitchen fire suppression systems, we check nozzles, piping, agent cylinders, detection & activation components. Our inspections ensure grease and fire hazards are mitigated effectively. When repairs or replacements are needed, we handle them promptly to maintain peak protection for cooking areas.

What the Ontario Fire Code requires

A cooking operation that produces smoke or grease-laden vapours needs an exhaust system and fire protection system built and maintained to NFPA 96 (Articles 2.6.1.12 and 2.6.1.13), and instructions for operating the system by hand must be posted in the kitchen (Article 2.6.1.14). NFPA 96 calls for the fire-extinguishing system to be inspected and serviced at least every six months.

Why it matters

Ontario fire departments enforce this. Missed semi-annual inspections of kitchen ventilation and fire suppression systems have led to Fire Code charges and fines for restaurant operators.
